Assignment 2.2
Due Date: October 20, 2005
In this assignment, you'll deepen your understanding of the rhetoric surrounding your issue by trying to argue the opposite point of view. In a 2 page paper, imagine that you are writing a Letter to the Editor of the newspaper of your choice, and argue the opposite of whatever you said in your Assignment 2.1 blog post. A successful paper will present a convincing, well-supported argument, backed up by logic and evidence. Although you will undoubtedly completely disagree with what you're arguing, it's important to recognize that differences of opinion both enrich our rhetorical community and provide fodder for you to disprove as a counterargument in your final Unit 2 Project.
